Take your design from paper to working digital file using computer aided design software such as adobe illustrator. You will learn how to draw various shoe designs and render them on this platform to reflect the qualities and details of your design. A must technique for every designer to convey your creative concepts in a professional presentation with technical specifications.

Objectives

Identify the tools, menu and palettes functions of CAD design software to draw footwear design
Sketch footwear design with CAD design software using a last template
Create footwear designs by modifying templates in CAD design software in accordance to the footwear design requirements
Convert footwear design into technical sketch by adding the finishing and seam details
Ascertain different modes of output, graphic files and formats for CAD design software for the footwear design and presentation
Interface between different CAD design software to optimize footwear illustration
Simulate rendering to the CAD footwear technical illustrations to make it three dimensional (3D)
Evaluate the CAD footwear designs illustrations
Make necessary changes in the CAD footwear design illustrations for any non-conformances

Academic Requirements

Local Students
- GCE ‘N’ Level with 3 credits including English and Mathematics OR
- WSQ ES WPLN Level 4 and above
International Students
- High School Diploma equivalent to GCE ‘N’ Level with 3 credits including English and Mathematics OR
- Qualifications from professional institutes may be considered on a case-by-case basis AND/OR
- Pass TaF.tc Entrance Test
English Language Proficiency
- Possess a minimum credit in English at GCE ‘O’ Level or its equivalent OR
- IELTS score 4.5 or TOEFL score 450

Assessment Methods

Successful completion of all modules within the course

Graduation Criteria

75% attendance rate of total training hours per module
Assessed and be competent for every module
Student Pass Holders – a minimum of 90% attendance per month will be required.

Awards

Upon succcessful completion of the course, trainee will be awarded the WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA). WSQ Certification is nationally endorsed and recognised by industry partners.
